Can anybody suggest a good basic book on fatigue analysis? Repeated or cyclic load on a component leads to fatigue which causes failure of the component. References There are no strict requirements on reference formatting at submission. References can be in any style or format as long as the style is consistent. Where applicable, author(s) name(s), journal title/book title, chapter title/article title, year of publication, volume number/book chapter and the article number or pagination must be.

Genre/Form: Electronic books Bibliography: Additional Physical Format: Print version: references on fatigue. Philadelphia, Pa.: American Society for Testing and Materials, © Information overload (also known as infobesity, infoxication, information anxiety, and information explosion) is the difficulty in understanding an issue and effectively making decisions when one has too much information about that issue.

Generally, the term is associated with the excessive quantity of daily information. Information overload most likely originated from information theory. This book is primarily a textbook written for engineers, students and teachers, and for people working on fatigue problems of engineering structures and materials.

The book can be used for graduate and undergraduate courses, workshops, and short courses for people working in the industry or research institutes. The book also offers useful comments for researchers in view.

The book provides several references that show an increasing focus being given to the problem of fatigue in materials, components, and structures. The journals and lists of references used in the book, which discuss the subject of fatigue, are chosen to give an initial identification of citations.

Fatigue and Durability of Structural Materials explains how mechanical material behavior relates to the design of structural machine components.

The major emphasis is on fatigue and failure behavior using engineering models that have been developed to predict, in advance of service, acceptable fatigue and other durability-related lifetimes. The book covers broad classes of 5/5(2).
